About Me

Ever since I began my 12-year journey of digital marketing I have always been fascinated with the web development aspect of bringing digital assets to life. How was it that a developer can take a wireframe, graphic representation, and set of desired outcomes and bring it to life on the web? Over the years I had the benefit of working alongside some very talented development teams and got a peek into their world which only fueled my desire to figure out how the magic happened. When I moved to Nashville and started to meet some alumni of Nashville Software School that I began to think that web development could be something I could learn and make a new career out of. I went to an info session at NSS in August of 2017 because I was yearning for a change in pace and thought I'd see what all the hype was about. Afterward, I applied and was accepted to the full-time program for Feb. 2018. At the time I ended up accepting the position at Senior Market Advisors and had to postpone my acceptance. In early 2019 I found myself feeling unfulfilled in my position at Senior Market Advisors and decided to reach out to NSS to see if I could re-apply. Luckily I was able to gain acceptance & my journey has begun!

Preparing students to work on building the front-end code associated with websites, web apps and hybrid mobile applications. Learning to connect their front-end code to server code through open web APIs or custom web services. FireFuel

FireFuel is an app to connect buyers and sellers of firewood. Who doesn’t love having a fire once in awhile on a cold Nashville evening? As a customer, who wants to pay grocery store prices for skimpy logs that will burn in a few minutes? Most customers know there are guys that sell wood on the side of the road but don’t know where they are located. As a seller wouldn’t it be nice if you didn’t have to sit on the side of a busy road all weekend hoping somebody will pull over to buy from you? Wouldn’t it be nice to not have to compete with other people who want to sit on the side of the same busy road? This app allows both parties to create profiles and connect with each other.
